Michelin Michelin Scorcher 31 Motorcycle TyreIs Michelin Scorcher 31right for your motorcycle?

Michelin Scorcher 31 Motorcycle tyres are Cruiser/Custom tyres made specifically to meet the on-road performance needs of Harley Davidson Motorcycles. The Michelin Scorcher 31 Tyre is a road-oriented cruiser tyre designed to offer confident grip, even wear, manoeuvrability and stability for everyday riding as well as longer rides. Michelin and Harley Davidson have been jointly developing the Scorcher tyres since 2008 and the Scorcher 31 is approved for use on a variety of Harley Davidson models. The Scorcher 31 employs a specialized tread pattern, which improves road holding and water evacuation to enhance rider safety. The tread is made up of Michelin’s synthetic polymers, which are designed to improve grip on wet roads. Michelin also recommends that a higher size uses aramid-fibre reinforcing to add strength without adding weight. The combination of special construction and tread design is engineered to provide long-lasting performance, improved rider control and stability at high speeds. The Michelin Scorcher 31 Tyre is available in a wide range of sizes depending on the motorcycle model and wheel position. Some of the available sizes include 100/90-19 57H, 110/90B19 62H, 130/70B18 63H, 130/90B16 73H, 130/80B17 65H and 180/70B16 77H among others. It is important to ensure that the selected size, load index and speed rating is appropriate for the motorcycle model. Michelin produces the Scorcher 31 in multiple sizes for use on Cruiser/Custom motorcycles. As such, it is advisable to identify the exact size needed for the motorcycle before making a purchase decision as opposed to basing the decision on visual appearance. Harley Davidson models that use the Scorcher 31 Tyre include Road King, Electra Glide Ultra Classic, Ultra Limited, Street Glide Special, Road Glide, Road Glide Special, Road Glide Ultra, Sport Glide, Iron 883 and Forty-Eight. It is important to ensure that the correct tyre size is selected for the specific Harley Davidson model and year of manufacture. The Scorcher 31 Tyre has also been used as original equipment on a variety of Harley Davidson Sportster and Dyna models. The exact year, model, wheel position and size should be used as a reference when purchasing a Scorcher 31 Tyre.
