Michelin Anakee Road 150/70 R18 M/C 70V TL/TT Rear Tyre

The Michelin Anakee Road 150/70 R18 M/C 70V TL/TT is a rear motorcycle tyre for adventure touring and trail motorcycles that spend the majority of their time on pavement. Part of Michelin's Anakee adventure tyre family, the Michelin Anakee Road 150/70 R18 M/C 70V TL/TT is positioned as on-road, suitable for those seeking an adventure rear tyre for highways, urban, touring and everyday road usage. Michelin lists this specification as a 150/70 R18 70V rear tyre for adventure/trail motorcycles. Its 150/70 R18 size shows a 150 mm nominal section width and a 70-series aspect ratio for an 18-inch rim diameter, while the 70V indicates the load and speed rating. The M/C points to its motorcycle specific design, while the TL/TT indicates that the Michelin tyre specification can be used with a suitable tubeless or tube type wheel, with Michelin noting that a tube is required if the wheel is tube type. Correct rim specification and the manufacturer's recommendation for a 150/70 R18 70V should be sought before fitting. As a Dual Sport rear tyre in our catalogue, the Michelin Anakee Road 150/70 R18 M/C 70V TL/TT is relevant to adventurers and trail motorcycle riders who are on the majority of the time on the road. Its intended use is for on-road highways, touring, everyday road riding and mixed adventure-bike riding where the behaviour on the road is the main requirement. Michelin describe the Anakee Road as an on-road tyre for trail motorcycles and should not be confused with the Anakee Wild, which is more off-road focused, or the Anakee Adventure, which is more road and light off-road focused. While the size specification is relevant, it's the motorcycle approved tyre dimensions, rim specification and the load and speed ratings required that should be taken into consideration rather than just the size. Michelin have a motorcycle tyre selector by manufacturer and model, so riders should check the exact fitment for their adventure/touring motorcycle before ordering. The 150/70 R18 70V is listed for motorcycles including the KTM 890 Adventure/R in Michelin's fitment documentation, but this should not be treated as a universal fit for every 18-inch adventure motorcycle.
