Metzeler ME 888 Marathon Ultra180/70 R16 77V M/C TL Rear Tyre

The Metzeler ME 888 Marathon Ultra 180/70 R16 77V M/C TL is a premium rear tyre designed for cruiser, custom and long distance touring motorcycles that require reliable road performance, long mileage and confidence on the road. A 180/70 R16 size, 77V load and speed rating, radial construction and tubeless design are featured on this Metzeler Motorcycle Tyre that is suitable for riders seeking a reliable rear fitment for long road journeys. Metzeler categorise this specification as a Rear Cruising Tyre with a 412 kg load capacity and a V speed rating up to 240 km/h. Built for high mileage motorcycle touring, the ME 888 Marathon Ultra utilises a broad flat structural geometry to spread the stresses over the footprint, reducing fatigue and irregularity wear. This Metzeler tyre features tread compound bridges which create a more substantive tread structure for stability and more consistent wear over the life of the tyre. The addition of abrasion resistant polymers contributes to the long wearing performance expected from this Metzeler cruiser tyre. Wet weather confidence is another benefit of the ME 888 Marathon Ultra 180/70 R16 77V M/C TL. The tread pattern promotes efficient water evacuation from the contact area, aided by the use of the silica rich compound to improve grip on wet roads. Longitudinal and crossing grooves promote water evacuation and contribute to the even wear characteristics of the tyre, providing a balance of wet grip, handling and stable cruising performance. The Metzeler ME 888 Marathon Ultra rear tyre is suitable for compatible Harley-Davidson, Honda, Triumph and other cruiser or touring motorcycles that require a 180/70 R16 rear tyre. Fitment needs to be confirmed against the motorcycle manufacturers approved tyre sizes and load/speed requirements for the rear wheel. Current fitment listings identify applications such as the Harley Davidson Sportster S and Softail Low Rider S as examples of compatible motorcycles.
